This is a genuine 1979 release Palitoy Action Man Battle of Britain RAF pilot uniform. The figure is a flock head, gripping hands version and could be a slightly different era. The uniform consists of helmet, goggles, mask, oxygen tube, red scarf, tunic (with original wings & DFC ribbon which are often missing), belt, trousers, Mae West and flying boots. The tunic and trousers are slightly grubby and could do with a gentle wash ( if you dare) and the Mae West is possibly the same. The only other issue is that the elastic on the goggles is too long and not very elastic ( it could do with a replacement elastic to be honest ). The figure struggles to stand on his own weight and would benefit from a display stand. The hands are yellowed and slightly brittle. The figure also comes with an unofficial Action Man card originally signed in pencil by Battle of Britain Hurricane Pilot Bill Green of 501 squadron. Both items would look well displayed together. This is a serious collectors item ( not a 40th anniversary release)
