This is a very scarce copy of Battle of Britain by Tom Hutchinson. This copy came from the book collection of Flt Lt Robert Wright. Robert Wright was personal assistant to Lord Dowding during the Battle of Britain in 1940 and also advised the filmakers during the making of the Battle of Britain movie. He was good friends with Battle of Britain Ace Tom Gleave, who also acted as an advisor for the movie and who wrote the forward for this book. The book was signed by Tom Gleave during the year of the movie’s release and he has dedicated it ‘To Michael’, who is Robert Wright’s son. The book is in very good condition with slight browning and chipping to the spine. It features many stills from the making of the famous 1969 movie, both in black & white and colour.
