This 1994 first edition hardback is in fine condition. It tells the story of the daring Fairey Swordfish raid on the Italian fleet in Taranto harbour in 1940. This raid took the Italian fleet out for the remainder of the war and was seen as the textbook raid that inspired the  Japanese raid on Pearl Harbour. The book has been signed  by John Welham who was one of the swordfish pilots on the raid. The book has been Remarqued with an original pencil drawing of Welham’s swordfish by Steve Teasdale. It also features a genuine piece of Fairey Swordfish fabric with Welham’s aircraft code hand drawn on it. 
A lovely piece of history and true one off.
