This 2008 first edition hardback is in excellent condition. It details the story of Canadian spitfire pilots Rod & Jerry Smith who served together in the defence of Malta in 1942. Jerry did not survive the war but Rod ended the war as one of Canada’s highest scoring aces with more than 13 victories. Sadly Rod ended his own life before this book was published.
The book has been enhanced with an original pencil drawing remarque of Rod Smith by Steve Teasdale. There is a genuine Rod Smith pencil signature mounted underneath the drawing to make this a highly collectable copy of this great story.
