This is a specially produced bookplate bearing an original pencil drawing portrait with white highlights by Steve Teasdale. The drawing, on sepia recycled card, features the rare and highly collectable genuine signature of Dambuster rear gunner Tom Simpson.

In the first wave they were the Third aircraft to attack the Möhne Dam.  Their mine veered left after dropping and exploded at the side of the dam.
This bookplate would fit perfectly in any book linked to the Dams raid and specifically to Lower Than Low, Simpson’s own story on the raid and his wartime career. One of the rarer Dambuster signatures.
