This beautiful 1986 dated Squadron Print features Guy Gibson’s Dambuster Lancaster profile. It has been signed in pencil by an incredible collection of Dambuster raid and squadron veterans. It has then been enhanced with two original pencil drawings by Steve Teasdale to make this a hugely collectable Dambuster item. The drawings feature a portrait of Guy Gibson and a faithful reproduction of the Dam Busting Weapon sketch by Barnes Wallis. The Dambuster raid Signatures are:
Danny Walker, Steve Oancia, Fred Sutherland, Fred Appleby, Ken Brown, Grant McDonald, Dave Rodgers and Joe McCarthy.
Extra 617 Sqn signatures are: James Tait (Tirpitz & 617 C/O), Leonard Cheshire VC (617 C/O) and Larry Curtis (Tirpitz raid).
This print has some small handling creases to edges and corners ( very slight) as to be expected for the age and signing sessions but nothing which will detract from the print when framed. There is also some slight smudging to Oancia’s pencil signature. Any look of browning to the page edges is purely down to shadowing in the photograph, there is no browning to the print at all. This is a stunning piece which would look absolutely amazing framed up.
