This is an original pencil drawing bookplate by Steve Teasdale on high quality Paralux paper. It features the side elevation technical drawing of the Dambuster Upkeep bomb in its’ Lancaster housing. The drawing is taken from an original wartime technical sketch created prior to the conversion of the Lancasters used in the raid. Underneath the drawing are the two professionally mounted genuine signatures of two groundcrew who worked on the aircraft for the Dambuster raid. Sgt Ron Barton was a fitter who worked on Lancaster ED 927 - AJ E, flown by Flt Lt Barlow which didn’t return from the raid. Harold Roddis worked on Lancaster ED 936 - AJ H, flown by Geoff Rice. The bookplate is approx 210cm x 140cm and would fit most books on the Dambuster raid. A unique item to enhance any Dambuster collection.
