This is a specially produced bookplate produced using high quality Paralux paper. It bears an original pencil drawing of an AEC Petrol Bowser which was used to fuel up the aircraft of 617 Sqn on the night of the Dams raid. The drawing has been signed by Steve Teasdale and underneath the drawing is the professionally mounted pencil signature of R. Waite who fuelled up the aircraft of A Flight, including Guy Gibson’s, on the night of the raid. The bookplate roughly measures 175 x 140 cm and would fit most books on the Dambuster raid. This is an uncommon Dams raid related signature.
