This 2019 first edition hardback is in excellent condition. The book, by eminent historian Max Hastings compiles the story of the famous Dambuster raid. This highly collectable copy has been Remarqued with an original drawing by Steve Teasdale. The drawing is a faithful reproduction of one of the early technical drawings of the ‘Dambuster Weapon’ we now know as ‘Upkeep’. The genuine signature of Dambuster veteran Len Sumpter has been mounted underneath the drawing. Len Sumpter was the Bomb Aimer on Dave Shannon’s Lancaster  AJ-L, which dropped it’s bomb on the Eder Dam but failed to breach it.
