This 1972 first edition hardback entitled The Legacy of Lord Trenchard is in excellent condition with minimal browning and a clean dustjacket. Slight defects are a tiny chip ( and it is tiny) out of the dustjacket spine and the slight remnants of tape on the inside of the boards ( see photos). Hubert ‘Dizzy’ Allen was a highly successful Spitfire pilot during the Battle of Britain and beyond. He wrote a number of controversial books on the RAF and the Battle of Britain after the war. The book features an original pencil drawing of Dizzy Allen by Steve Teasdale and his scarce genuine signature has been professionally mounted underneath the drawing to create a highly collectable edition.
