This is a mounted and framed charcoal and pastel drawing by Steve Teasdale of Group Captain Peter Townsend. It has been framed with a mounted copy of the London Gazette from 1940 which states the reasons for the award of Townsend's DFC. The Gazette has been signed in pen by Townsend. Underneath the signed gazette is a museum replica of the Distinguished Flying Cross. The drawing was framed to conservation standards by Aces High Gallery.
