David Crook DFC wrote this classic story of 609 Sqn during the Battle of Britain only two years later. In Dec 1944 he crashed his spitfire on the sea and was never found. This 1942 dated book is in very good condition with a slightly faded dustjacket which has some minor rips and chips only. The pages are browned as expected for the age of the book. It includes the signatures of five 609 Sqn Spitfire pilots, four of whom were Battle of Britain veterans and three who flew with Crook himself ( Bisdee, Overton & Appleby ).
